med+Connect®,  has implemented system and application safeguards to meet HIPAA and other electronic medical record requirements. These include:

Physical Security – The med+Connect® web interface, databases, applications, and servers are housed in a highly secure, limited-access facility. Secure data backup procedures and off-site storage provides an ongoing service. Each key has been encoded with a serial number which is matched up with the online system. (Personal information is not stored online.)

Data Encryption – All data transferred between the med+Connect's servers and med+Connect Health Key® uses 128-bit Secure-Socket-Layer (SSL) encryption.

Security Services - Audit and compliance tools provide security reports, server logs, and application access logs.
